Planning Continuous Improvement at NTC
Northwest Technical College is committed to the pursuit of quality. The implementation of Continuous Quality Improvement practices, however, must be done in support of a comprehensive plan that leads the college into the future in such a way that it can continue to fulfill its mission and purposes and sustain its operations. An effective planning process forms the foundation for success at Northwest Technical College. The College developed its Master Academic and Strategic Planning System utilizing an approach called New Designs in Master Academic Planning.
Key to the College’s ability to implement its plans effectively is the full integration of the Continuous Learning Cycle in the College’s planning processes. This means that the College must PLAN what it intends to do, DO what it said it was going to do, CHECK the effectiveness of the action through measurement of impact, and ACT in accordance with what was learned in the Check step.
